Brian Campbell Named SVP - Regional Manager for Northeast

BOSTON & BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RW Smith, www.rwsbroker.com, opens its first Boston-area office effective today, announced Paige W. Pierce, President and CEO of the Bellevue, Wash.-based fixed income interdealer broker firm.

Located at 160 Old Derby St. in Hingham, Mass., the office will serve as the company’s base of operations for the Northeast region and will be headed by Brian Campbell, who joins RW Smith from Alta Capital Group. Previously he was with Fidelity Investments in Boston. Also joining RW Smith in the new office are Joseph Blood and Michael Lovering.

Prior to joining RW Smith as SVP - Regional Manager for the Northeast, Mr. Campbell, 48, was Managing Director of Institutional Trading with Alta Capital Group (2005-2008). Previously, he worked for Fidelity Investments, Capital Markets, as VP and Manager of the Boston Municipal Trading Desk (1999-2005), and as VP Institutional Trading (1990-1999). He also worked at Shearson Lehman Hutton as a Municipal Bond Trader (1986-1990), and as Municipal Bond Liaison (1984-1986). After attending Ripon College, where he majored in economics, he joined Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith in 1981.

Mr. Blood, 48, brings 26 years’ experience in the financial industry to his new role of Vice President at RW Smith. Sixteen of those years were in institutional fixed income (account/dealer sales), and ten in mid-market institutions, corporations, and high net worth individuals. Most recently he was Corporate Services Financial Advisor for E* Trade Financial in Boston. Among other positions, he has served as President of JPB Financial Consulting, as Financial Advisor at Smith Barney, and as VP Institutional Fixed Income Sales at BayBanks, N.A. He is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, where he earned a bachelor of sciences degree in 1982.

Also joining the Boston team is Mr. Lovering, 39, who will assume the role of Vice President. From 1995-2008, he worked for Fidelity Investments, most recently as Capital Markets Fixed Income Sales Liaison. Other positions he has held include Private Access Relationship Manager, Premium Service Representative, and Senior Trader – Brokerage. He is a 1992 graduate of Norwich University.
